About Me
I was born in Berkeley, California, and raised between the Central Valley and Oakland, with my upbringing deeply influenced by the culture, resilience, and community of the Bay Area. I am Puerto Rican and Black in which my heritage continues to shape my perspective and creative voice.
My writing is rooted in what I believe to be the greatest love story ever told: the love of Christ. That foundation guides my exploration of love, identity, healing, and the human experience across poetry, short fiction, and screenwriting.
I studied at Arizona State University and am the author of four published poetry collections: Pretty in Every Shade of Brown, His Love Letters, Hey, Pretty, and its counterpart Hey, My Love. Through my work, I aim to create stories that feel honest, intimate, and anchored in hope.
“For he died so we could know love and peace for eternity.”
